The problem

When several people shop together (choosing a gift, a dowry, furnishing a home), decisions are made through countless links shared in WhatsApp groups. Who liked what, comparisons and the final decision turn into chaos.

The solution

In SyncShop, users join a room and browse the e-commerce site at the same time. Products go into a shared collection with one click and are voted on together. If the group can't decide, the AI steps in: it analyzes the group's budget, expectations and votes and suggests the most sensible choice. Trendyol is supported for now.

Highlights

• Multiplayer cursors: everyone on the same page sees each other's cursor live; coordinates are normalized for different screen sizes.
• Live room: a side panel shows who is looking at which product; you can teleport to a friend's screen with one click.
• AI product analysis: every product added to the collection gets a pros-and-cons summary and a confidence score. Every conclusion is sourced from the real user reviews it is based on.
• Decision assistant: it asks the group questions based on the products (purpose, budget…), then summarizes the decision with its reasoning by looking at the votes and reviews.
• Chat and tagging inside the extension.
• Connection handling that keeps the chat clean when a page is refreshed; empty rooms are cleaned up automatically after 10 minutes.

The project made the top 10 at the BTK Akademi Hackathon 2026.
