Softesse
An interactive 3D product showcase for a new paper products brand, where you can rotate the packs with your mouse and the colors change with a circular animation when you switch product lines.
The starting point
My client was getting ready to launch Softesse, a new paper towel and toilet paper brand within their company. For the launch they wanted a web experience that presented the products in an impressive way instead of flat photos: visitors should be able to see the packs in 3D, in motion and from any angle.
Highlights
- The product packs sit on the stage as real 3D models; visitors can rotate them freely with the mouse and take a closer look.
- Arrow buttons move between product lines; on every switch the packs change with a 3D motion.
- Each line has its own color (blue, green, purple, yellow). On transitions the background turns to the new color with a circular mask animation.
- The front and back of the packs can be viewed, with label and certification details.
The team
A friend of mine made the 3D pack models in Blender; the scene setup, interactions, animations and all of the web development are mine.
Status
The project was completed, but it was never published because the client did not go ahead with the brand.
