CustomPoly

The starting point

PerryWorld sells custom Monopoly games on Etsy. Every order needed the board, the cards and the money designed for that customer, which meant messaging each customer one by one and preparing the designs by hand.

How it works

• After ordering on Etsy, the customer comes to the CustomPoly site.
• A multi-step form lets them customize every part of the game: board color, currency, corner squares, property spaces (name, price, photo), Chance and Community Chest cards, title deeds and fonts.
• They see every change instantly on the board with a live preview.
• When the form is done, the board, the card sheets and the front and back of the title deeds are generated automatically as print-ready images and land in the admin panel.
• PerryWorld downloads the files from the panel, prints them and ships the order.

The result

Designing by hand is gone entirely. The system has been used by more than 3,000 customers so far; the Gold package alone has over 1,100 orders.
